Aarhus Festuge is looking for local concert-organizers for the booking and arranging of concerts on smaller scenes during our three-day musical underground festival Understrøm.

Aarhus Festival, in collaboration with Studenterhus Aarhus and ROSA - Dansk Rock Samråd / SPOT Festival, will again host the free music festival along the river in Aarhus city center on thursday September 6th through saturday September 8th 2018.

With the great potential of the music environment in Aarhus, we expanded the festival with an extra day last year to give even more room for the musicians to unfold their talents on the three scenes at Mølleparken, Immervad and under Skt. Clemens Bro.

And with even greater support than the 2016 debut-year, which was already an audience success, it turned out to be the right decision, and the festival is now exactly where it should be.

Last year there was, among other things, experimental electronic music organized by SPARK * at Immervad, while Sofar Sound's Aarhus curated intimate music under Skt. Clemens Bro. With everything from hiphop to pop and metal, and much more, almost all genres were represented, where metal music was once again delivered by Mono Goes Metal, which came with a 12-hour metal festival.

We urge all those who meet the requirements to search, so as to create as wide and wide-ranging festival as possible.

Aarhus Festival provides the stage and production equipment (equipment, PR, marketing) and a limited budget for music, thus contributing with the posibilities and the network to reach a wide range.

Who can search?

Non-commercial festivals, concert associations, music associations or similar concert organizers based in Aarhus. It is not a requirement that the musicians and bands that are booked are related to Aarhus.

What should the application contain?

The application must fill a maximum of one A4 page and be send to rud@aarhusfestuge.dk. The application must include your motivation for taking care of a stage for Understrøm and a short CV. In addition, it should be stated which stage and day is preferred.

How is the application assessed?

Applications are jointly evaluated by Rud Kjerstein from Aarhus Festuge and Jesper Thisgaard from ROSA - Dansk Rock Consultation / SPOT Festival. In the selection, emphasis is placed on the applicant's music profile and motivation to take care of a central scene during Aarhus Festuge.
