Now’s your chance to join one of Aarhus’ best communities and simultaneously help create a cultural and festive event for all of Aarhus!

You can sign up through this link:

The signup is just four simple steps:

1) Click the ‘Sign up as volunteer’ button.
2) Create a profile with your email address and a password.
3) Confirm your profile by clicking the link in the email you receive right away (former volunteers can possibly skip this step).
4) Type in some information about yourself to complete your signup!

On Wednesday June 6th and Thursday June 7th at 5-7 p.m., we at Aarhus Festival will keep our office doors open longer than usual, so you can drop in to get help with the signup and/or meet some of the people working at the secretariat. Our office is located at Officersbygningen, Vester Allé 3, 8000 Aarhus C.

The tasks are plentiful and varied – hosts, guides, workshops, ticket sales and clean-up just to name a few – and all are handled together with other volunteers and the rest of the Festival-team. We’ll distribute everyone into tasks and teams later – but you can send your requests (also if you hope to work with certain people) to our volunteer coordinator, Marc.

Luckily, the vast majority of our volunteers return year and year. Aarhus Festival is nothing without all our wonderful and competent volunteers, so naturally you will be treated as such.

The volunteer team is a diverse and enthusiastic group of people and, as a volunteer, you’re invited into this amazing community at Aarhus Festival. Amongst other things it means quality time spent with your colleagues at dinners and festive events before and after the Festival, courses, and other activities for volunteers. The first activity is a course for new and newer volunteers on June 12th at 5-7 p.m. in Stiften Lounge – save the date, info on how to sign up will be shared shortly.

You can write to our volunteer coordinator Marc Sejr Eggen at if you have any questions or comments. We hope you want to join our team and we are eagerly waiting for your name to pop up on our list!

Best regards,
Aarhus Festival
